International Animation Festival 23 - 29.09.2024
Animation Contest for Student and Educators open till 31/7/2022!

Are you a student or an educator from Hungary, Poland, Greece of Cyprus?

Is inclusiveness part of your thoughts?

Join the animated film contest organized by Animasyros International Animation Festival!

ANIMASYROS International Animation Festival is the largest animation festival in Greece. As a part of the educational actions of the co-funded project by the EU Erasmus+ programme I_AM: “Inclusive education using Animation and Multimedia” project.

Animasyros is very happy to announce a contest of animated films made by students and educators together.

We welcome entries for the creation of an animated film, using any animation technique you want, that revolves around inclusiveness. What does it mean to be different? How does that feel? How do we define diversity? How can we connect, communicate, and coexist with those we think are different than us? And, finally, are there “different” people? Or just unique ones?

Free your imagination! Design, paint, fabricate, move, film, make sounds and music, give words to your thoughts, bring them into life and create an animated film!

The contest is open for groups or individuals, always coming from educative environment (schools, organizations, laboratories etc.).

The best films will be screened at Syros Island in Greece during the Animasyros 2022 International Animation Festival (20 – 25 September 2022) in a special section dedicated to the Ι_ΑΜ project and the inclusiveness in education. The winning groups will travel to Syros during the festival to present their work.

Join us for a trip to the exciting world of Animation.

The I_AM: “Inclusive education using Animation and Multimedia” project aims to support inclusive education of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) through an innovative person-centered, inter-disciplinary and art-based approach, implemented in Greece, Cyprus, Hungary, and Poland. The project utilizes multimedia resources and especially animation, through a blended learning capacity building programme, to develop a welcoming environment for children with SEND in mainstream schools.
